Terms & Conditions

Your commitment to us

When you confirm your purchase, you are accepting that these terms and conditions form the basis of any contract between Magdalen College and yourself.

No contract exists between you and Magdalen College for the sale of any tickets until we have received and accepted your order and received payment in full. Once cleared funds are received, there is a binding contract between us.

Prices

The description and price of all tickets will be shown on the Magdalen College website. Prices are in UK Sterling and inclusive of VAT, if applicable. All tickets must be paid for in full at the time of booking. Prices displayed on the site are subject to change without notice.

Limitation of Liability

Magdalen College will not be liable in any amount for failure to perform any obligation under this agreement if such failure is caused by the occurrence of any unforeseen event beyond its reasonable control, including without limitation Internet and communication outages, fire, flood, war, or act of God.

Refunds & Cancellations

Magdalen College does not permit tickets to be refunded after purchase unless otherwise stated in the terms and conditions related to that specific event.

In the event of a cancelled event, Magdalen College will not be liable for additional travel or accommodation expenses. All tickets are sold subject to Magdalen College’s right to make any alterations in the cast, programme, or arrangements advertised on Magdalen College’s website or elsewhere, which are rendered necessary by Magdalen College.

Online Booking

Once purchased online, tickets may not be used in conjunction with any other offer. No ticket may be resold. We reserve the right to refuse entry to late arrivals.

Any discounts or offers online are available for limited quantities and periods only and shall not be available on bookings made by phone or in person.

You are entirely responsible for entering your details correctly on the Booking Form. You warrant that all details supplied by you are true and accurate. It is your responsibility to check that the details are accurate. Magdalen College cannot take responsibility for errors with your booking once processed.

Where a person makes a booking on behalf of a party, that person accepts these terms and conditions on behalf of all members of the party and is responsible for all payments due from the party.

Booking services with Magdalen College are only available to persons who are at least 18 years of age.

The purchase of a ticket entitles the bearer to access the event named, at the time and date stated on the face of the ticket. Please ensure these details are correct as tickets are not transferable to alternative dates unless otherwise stated on the individual event terms and conditions.

All visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Photography and Filming

Photography is permitted, without tripods or lights, provided this is for personal, non-commercial use. All requests for commercial photography and filming should be submitted to the Home Bursar (home.bursar@magd.ox.ac.uk) at least 2 weeks in advance.  Before we can consider your request please complete and submit the on-line application form. Please note that requests will not be considered unless this form has been received.   Public Liability Insurance requirements are stated on the attached form and are not negotiable, a copy of the certificate of insurance must be submitted with the form.

Wedding photography is not permitted without written permission from the Home Bursar per the above. Visitors dressed in wedding attire will not be allowed access to Magdalen College, professional portrait and engagement photography is also not permitted at Magdalen College. Magdalen College reserves the right to ask visitors taking part in unauthorised wedding, engagement, portrait, or commercial photography to leave the premises.

Visitor Data Privacy Notice

Any personal data that you provide when you purchase a ticket to visit Magdalen College (including name, address, email contact details, bank details, etc.) will be processed under the legitimate interest basis, under the terms and conditions of the Data Protection Act 2018. The data is stored securely and will only be used for the purchase of your ticket and, anonymously, for statistical purposes. Any details you provide will be anonymised after three years, by ourselves or by our third-party operators, Digitickets. Payments are processed by Worldpay.
