Music Practice Rooms - Chaplain’s Quad
There are two music practice rooms - Chaplain’s Quad Practice Room and Cloisters Practice Room. Each booking is of 30 minutes duration, with a maximum of three consecutive bookings. The rooms may be booked from 9am daily, with the last booking being at 8.30pm. The rooms are not to be used after 9pm. Both rooms may be taken out of use when noise from them would disturb nearby events, including services in the College Chapel.
Those who book a slot and do not use it on more than two occasions will be barred from using the practice rooms. Please cancel your booking if you find yourself unable to use the time booked.
Instruments, including a guitar and electric guitar, are available for use in the Cloisters Practice Room, and a drum kit is available in the Chaplain’s Quad Practice Room. Music stands are also provided for use in both rooms. Instruments and stands must not be removed from the rooms, and you should be mindful of volume in the Cloisters when using amplifiers etc.
CCTV covers the entrance to both rooms.
Music Practice Room keys may be collected from Magdalen Porters’ Lodge, and returned at the end of the session. Upon collection you will need to present a University card or Alumni card matching the name of the person making the booking.
